Is Motown making a comeback?  That's a question I ask myself all the time... primarily because we've had a lot of requests for Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye at various events in the last few months, secondarily because I love Motown!!! : )

It's All Subjective

As music professionals, we are always asked  what the most popular wedding songs are.
And the truth is...We play a lot of different styles of music at every event we play.  The reason for this is that every client is unique.  Some absolutely LOVE rock, while others LOVE swing.  Some need motown played at their wedding, while others love Gaga... and only Gaga.  So, as you can tell, no two events are exactly the same.  But that's the beauty of this business.  At Jerry Kravat Music, we love catering every event to suit each client's unique needs.  There's just something about the look on the Father of the Bride's face when Sinatra's "The Way You Look Tonight" plays as he dances with his little girl.  Or perhaps they dance to "Sweet Child of Mine" by Guns N Roses?  Either way works just as well to me!  Just as long as everyone is encouraged, inspired, and happy.  : )

So... what are the most popular wedding songs?
It's all subjective.

Dear Jon, Mario, and the Rest of Manhattan Rhythm Machine,

We can't thank you enough for making our April 23rd wedding an unforgettable evening.  Mario, everyone loved the Spanish guitar music you played before the ceremony, and I was so moved by how beautifully you played my favorite song.  Nanni, my father-in-law loved jamming on the drums with you.  Jon, your professionalism and patience in the planning process was so appreciated.

Thank you all so much!

Suzanne,
My wife and I recently had the New York Dream Band play at our wedding.  We can truly say that it was the best decision that we made in planning our wedding.  Their live performance was spectacular!  Their demo, while great, does not do their live show justice because it cannot capture the energy and stage presence that they possess.  Not only that, but during the planning process, they were professional, communicative, and available, and they worked hard to accommodate our many special requests.

The bottom line is that the music, more than anything else, is what makes a wedding memorable, and the New York Dream Band made our wedding unforgettable.  Many of our guests event came up to us afterward to tell us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to and we have New York Dream Band to thank for that.

Hope you're doing well,
Peter

Hi Jon,
We just got back from our honeymoon and I wanted to send a quick note to thank you for everything.

The band was AMAZING and our guests can't stop raving about how good they were.  So many people were asking me how we found them. :) People danced the whole night and didn't want the night to end.

George was also such a huge hit!  He was wonderful and definitely add a touch of added elegance to our wedding.  So many people couldn't believe how much he sounded like Frank Sinatra.

Please be sure to tell Larry and George how much everyone enjoyed the music at our wedding.
It was a pleasure working with you.

Thanks,
Mary

Hi Suzanne,

We had SUCH an amazing wedding and our guests keep commenting on the band!  I am so glad we had Tribeca Rhythm.  They totally delivered.  We extended the dance floor before the wedding because we knew we'd have a dancing crowd, but we could have doubled the size (seriously!) -EVERYONE was on the dance floor!  We had a great time and we are both so happy with our Jerry Kravat Experience.  I'll be sure to send you a thank you card to include in your coffee table book for future brides and grooms.

Thanks again!
Allison

Dear Jon and the members of Rhythm Jam,

We can't thank you enough for the awesome music you provided for our wedding on July 17th.  We hope you could tell how much our crowd was enjoying it when they started chanting "one more song" at the end of the night.  Your performance went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for.  You truly made our wedding reception the great party it was!

Jon- thank you especially for all of your help and guidance leading up to our day.  You were wonderful to work with and we were so happy that you could be there that day to help celebrate our wedding.
Thank you again and please feel free to use us if references are needed.

Sincerely,
Meredith & Rob

Hi Suzanne,

Just wanted t get back to you on the event Friday night at Tribeca Grill.  The trio from Jerry Kravat Orchestras was wonderful.  The sound was great as well as the gentlemen playing were very accommodating on the volume needed.

As usual, we are not surprised at the professionalism that comes out of your company and we want to say thank you again for helping us to raise money for Emergency Department at Lutheran Medical Center.
